Autumn Bucket List

It's finally here! My favorite time of the year! Crisp air, falling leaves, pumpkins, bonfires, and apple cider. Don’t let autumn slip away without trying a few of these fall bucket list activities and adventures. I’m sharing my own family-friendly, autumn bucket list for you here, in case you might want to borrow some ideas...

  • Visit a pumpkin patch
  • Pick apples at an orchard.
  • Go on a hayride.
  • Go through a corn maze.
  • Schedule an autumn  photo-shoot for your entire family! One thing I’ve learned is, I don’t think people ever regret getting professional photos taken. They don’t have to cost an arm and a leg, either. Find someone affordable and do the dang thang!

  • Build a blanket fort in the living room; they are so very autumn, if you ask me!
  • Have a bonfire and make s’mores. So much fun!
  • Bundle up and see a drive-in movie.
  •  Go on a hike and take in the crisp air. Enjoy the sound of leaves crinkling and crackling under your shoes.
  • Have an autumn barbeque and pull out all your cozy blankets.  My cozy blankets get folded up and put away during the summer months, so I love pulling those out when fall arrives.
  • Rake a giant pile of leaves, take a few steps back, run, and jump in! If you do it well, you’ll end up lying on the ground, face up, watching the leaves fall from the trees, and the clear blue sky beyond.
  • Go on a trail ride.
  • Get yourself a new fall candle.
  • Have chili cook off with family & friends.
  • Eat all the pumpkin things--pumpkin cupcakes, pumpkin pancakes and pumpkin bread.
  • Roast pumpkin seeds.
  • Take the time to witness the dramatic display of colors in the foliage –bronze, brilliant orange, gold, and other autumn shades.
  • Bake a pie. Or, if you’re like me, just go buy one. (I'm not good at making pies.)
  • Decorate your porch. Shoot--just go ahead and decorate the whole house!
  • Carve pumpkins!

Nuff said.

That’s it! That’s what I’ve got so far for my autumn bucket list.

What’s on your list?

Fill me in! I’d love to read all about it!

D,

Loved this post! Full of some of my fav aspects and opportunities with autumn! So many things 2020 has moved into an off-limits status, but sooooo many simple activities are untouched by it and of those, they're the most fun and memorable things to do.

Excellent post!

Hi Denise... loving your post. I like collecting some of the many different colored leaves, tracing them, hanging them in windows and such.
